The teres minor muscle is a slender muscle which originates from the lateral border of the dorsal scapula, inserting onto the inferior facet of the greater tubercle of the humerus.

- Superolateral portion of scapula border
Insertion
- Greater tubercle of humerus (inferior facet)
Action
- Lateral rotation of arm
- Assists in stabilisation of glenohumeral joint
Innervation
- Axillary nerve: C5, 6
Blood Supply
- Subscapular and circumflex scapular arteries
