Superior Angle of Scapula
The
superior angle of the scapula is indicated in the diagram.
The scapula is a bone that connects the humerus with the clavicle. The scapula consists of
two surfaces:
- Costal
- Posterior
The scapula has
three borders:
- Superior
- Medial
- Lateral
The scapula has
three angles:
- Superior
- Inferior
- Lateral
The superior angle of the scapula is covered by the
trapezius muscle. It is formed at the point where the medial and lateral borders meet and provides attachment for the
levator scapulae muscle and
omohyoid muscle.
